Terms of use

1. Who we are

Link is made and offered by Shu, Spain. Contact: support@linkturbo.app.

These terms cover Link Lite Recorder (the browser extension) and Link TURBO (the Windows program, not released yet). By using either of them you agree to these terms.

2. What Link is

Link records streams and videos you choose, finds moments in them and helps you make short clips. It is a tool. It does not give you any right to the content you record.

3. Your responsibility for what you record and post

  • You may record, clip and post only content you have the right to use: your own streams, or content whose owner allows it.
  • You are responsible for following the terms of the platforms you record from and post to, including Kick, Twitch, YouTube and Instagram.
  • You are responsible for what you publish with Link. We do not see it, review it or approve it.
  • Link writes the channel's name into each recording so the creator can be credited. Credit is not permission.

4. What you may not do

  • Use Link to infringe anyone's copyright or other rights, or to harass anyone.
  • Remove or get around a licence check, resell or share a paid licence, or pass off Link as your own product.
  • Use Link in a way that breaks the law where you live.

5. Beta software

Link Lite Recorder is new software, and Link TURBO is still in development. They are provided as they are. Features can change or be removed, and things can go wrong, including a recording failing to save. Do not rely on Link as your only copy of anything important.

6. Prices and buying

  • Announced prices are one-time prices with no subscription: 1.99 EUR for Link Lite Recorder and 7.99 EUR for Link TURBO. Prices can change before release; the price you pay is the one shown when you buy.
  • Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC, lemonsqueezy.com), which acts as merchant of record: Lemon Squeezy is the seller named on your receipt, takes the payment and charges the tax the law requires. Lemon Squeezy's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment.
  • After paying for Link Lite Recorder you receive a licence key by email. You enter it into the extension once. One key can be active in up to three browsers at a time; you can free a place yourself with Remove key in the extension.
  • Link Lite Recorder can be tried before buying: it works in full for a small number of recordings, and then asks for a key.

7. Refunds and your right to withdraw

If you buy as a consumer in the European Union, you have 14 days from the purchase to withdraw from it without giving a reason, and get your money back.

Link is digital content that is delivered at once. When you buy, you will be asked to agree that delivery starts immediately and to acknowledge that, once it has started, the right to withdraw ends. If you did not give that agreement, the 14 days apply in full.

Apart from that right: if Link does not work for you, write to support@linkturbo.app within 14 days of buying, say what went wrong, and you will get your money back.

Refunds are paid by the same means you paid with, through the payment company named in section 6.

8. Third-party services

Link can connect to Kick, Twitch, YouTube, Instagram, Discord and Spotify. Those services belong to their owners, are not affiliated with Link, and can change or withdraw what Link relies on at any time. If one of them stops working with Link, that part of Link stops working, and that is not a defect we can be held to.

9. Ownership

Link, its name, its design and its code belong to us. You get a personal licence to use the version you obtained. Your recordings and clips are yours, subject to the rights of whoever made the content in them.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost recordings, lost income, or claims made against you because of what you recorded or posted. Nothing in these terms limits rights the law gives you as a consumer that cannot be limited.

11. Copyright complaints

If you believe content made or shared with Link, or posted in Link's Discord server, infringes your rights, see the copyright page (linkturbo.app/copyright) for how to tell us.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the new version will be posted with a new date and announced in the Discord server. These terms are governed by the law of Spain, without taking away any protection the law of your own country gives you as a consumer.
